Chairs Turned
|
Britton Buchanan was a contestant on The Voice Season 14 under Team Alicia. His blind audition of the Ray LaMontagne song "Trouble" turned three chairs[1]. Although he likely would have picked Adam to he his coach, Britton's performance prompted Blake to block him.
Britton then chose Alicia to be his coach, and continued on her team to the Semi-Finals, where he was put in the Instant Save slot. He won the Instant Save and moved on to the finale, where he placed second behind Team Kelly's Brynn Cartelli. He was the first and currently only contestant to not come last place after being Instantly Saved into the finale.
Since The Voice, Britton has continued to develop his musical talents and perform local shows.
Before The Voice[]
"Growing up, Britton preferred picking flowers in the outfield to actually playing the game. He left sports behind and followed his intuition toward guitar and musical theater. Britton's parents introduced him to '70s and '80s rock and folk music, and he joined a classic rock band when he was 13. A year later, he won a songwriting contest that gave him the opportunity to record with renowned engineer John Davenport, whose credits include Robert Palmer's album "Riptide" and Bruce Springsteen's album "Born in the U.S.A." Britton is now embarking on his solo career as a musical artist."
