Emily Ann Roberts is the runner-up of Season 9 of The Voice, as part of Team Blake.
After managing to turn two chairs in the Blind Auditions and nearly opting to go with Adam Levine, Emily joined Blake Shelton's team, who was once again stacked with country singers, and quickly made a name for herself by advancing to the Live Playoffs and scoring an iTunes bonus with her performance of "In the Garden". Despite that, she still didn't manage to score one of the two public's votes, and was saved by Blake as his third and final member in the Top 12. She advanced easily through the live shows, making it to the semifinals as a strong contender for the finale, which she made it in after being one of the top 3 vote getters of that round.
While Jordan Smith seemed like a clear frontrunner for the crown of the season, Emily didn't go down without a fight: a jaw-dropping performance of Cam's "Burning House" earned her a standing ovation from all four coaches, and the #2 spot on iTunes, with many believing for a second that she could pull an upset and end up winning the season. Despite that, she still finished in second place, not without having a respectable journey with a clear evolution from her first performance.
