Chairs Turned

Gary Carpentier is a contestant on The Voice Season 13 and a member of Team Adam. His blind audition of the Michael Bublé song "Home" turned only Adam's chair.

He was eliminated in the Battle Rounds after losing his battle against Emily Luther.

Before The Voice

"Gary grew up playing baseball in the small town of Oswego, New York, making it on to first team for high school baseball players in All-Central New York. Outside of baseball, Gary was involved in chorus and a few musicals, even playing Gaston in a rendition of "Beauty and the Beast." After high school he went to college to play baseball and had a few major league scouts look at him, but ultimately dropped out and rediscovered his love of music. Currently he plays three or four days a week in local bars and restaurants, which is how he met his fiancée, Becky. Despite living paycheck to paycheck, she has supported his musical career. Having a chair turn around for Gary would be the biggest event of his life."[1]
