Ray Boudreaux was one of top 8 contestants in Season 5 of the NBC’s The Voice. He was on Blake Shelton’s team.
Biography
Small-town Ray has never ventured far from home, leaving his hometown of Lafayette, Louisiana, for the first time ever to go to Los Angeles for his audition. At 22 he became a father and stopped performing to be home with his daughter and girlfriend. He does yard work for income and shares custody of his daughter Audrey with his ex-girlfriend.

Blind Auditions
Soul singer Ray Boudreaux sang “Use Me” by Bill Withers for his blind audition. After Blake Shelton and CeeLo Green turned their chairs around, Boudreaux decided to choose Shelton to be his coach.
Battle rounds
During the Battle rounds Boudreaux went against Monika Leigh singing "Some Kind of Wonderful" and won.
Knockout rounds
In the Knockout rounds Boudreaux sang "Hard to Handle" and won againt E.G. Daily and advanced to the Live shows.
Live shows
Week 1
In the live playoffs Boudreaux sang "Home", he was in the bottom three but coach Blake chose to save him.
Week 2
In week 2 Boudreaux sang "All Of Me" was voted through by the public.
Week 3
In week 3 Boudreaux sang "You Are The Best Thing" and was voted through by the public
Week 4
In week 4 Boudreaux sand "Gimme Some Lovin" but was in the bottom three and ultimatly eliminated after not recieving the Instant Save.
Post-Voice Career
In the coming months Boudreaux is planning to record and release an EP of original music.
