Tessanne Chin is the winner of Season 5 of The Voice, being part of Team Adam.

After impressing all four coaches in the Blinds, Tessanne advanced easily through the Battles and Knockouts due to her vocal excellence, being constantly praised by the coaches as a vocalist that was "physically incapable of ever missing a note". Tessanne remained consistent throughout the whole competition, navigating between the pop, R&B and soul genres while always staying true to her Jamaican-reggae roots; a well-timed pitch perfect performance of "Bridge Over Troubled Water" in the semifinals led to her rising to the #1 spot of the iTunes charts, increasing her threat status right before the finale; there, another flawless vocal delivery of a classic, this time Whitney Houston's "I Have Nothing", would give her another #1 spot on the charts, with said performance being widely hailed as one of the best deliveries ever of the song.

On the finale results night, Tessanne would be crowned the winner of the season over frontrunner Jacquie Lee, a win that rewarded her overall consistency and stand-out performances at the right time. She became the third female winner of the show in a row, and Adam Levine's second winner.
